This talk will be given by Doctor Miguel Fernández Muñoz (Universidad de Alcalá de Henares)

In this talk we will explain the fundamentals of magnets and magnetic fields applied to motor elements, transportation and many other applications. We will also delve into the world of superconductivity. After a brief theoretical introduction, accessible to everyone, Miguel Fernández will go on to carry out experiments with magnets, electromagnets and superconducting materials. To do this, we will have a set of magnetic levitation experiments, which we will achieve by cooling superconducting materials brought in for the occasion below the critical temperature of the superconducting transition. And of course, we will not miss the magic of seeing liquid nitrogen, very carefully, of course. Come and join this talk that will leave you speechless...
