Dra. Nerea Lorente (Universidad Complutense de Madrid y Hospital 12 de OCtubre)

Our guest today is a PhD student at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, currently conducting her research at the 12 de Octubre Hospital. A collaborator with the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), Nerea will talk to us about the scientific career path in this crucial area of ​​research and will give us a brief overview of her specific area of ​​specialization. The talk will also include a short video presentation.

At the same time, the AECC association will install a photography exhibition in the exhibition hall.

About the presenter...

Nerea Lorente holds a degree in Biology from the University of Alcalá de Henares and a Master's degree in Genetics and Cell Biology from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She has research experience at the Jiménez Díaz Foundation and the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO). She is an excellent science communicator, giving numerous talks in high schools, research centers and other institutions. She is currently conducting cancer research at the 12 de Octubre Hospital as part of the PhD program in Biology, Biochemistry, and Biomedicine at the Complutense University of Madrid.
