On Thursday, October 26, we inaugurated aloveCIENCIA, an initiative for scientific dissemination, welcomed with great enthusiasm by the Alovera City Council. With his support, plusultraorionis (José Luis F. Cuñado and Pablo Molina) have the honor of directing this new format where will get you closer to science and its current advances. The format will have a multitude of interesting activities for all ages: - Talks-Colloquium - Scientific workshops - In situ experiments - Visits to research centers and much more. Speakers of different disciplines and institutions will visit us here, in Alovera, to tell us about science and advances in all disciplines of science. In addition, all the activities you attend will be incorporated in your Aloveran "Cultural Passport".
The inauguration took place with the presentation of the aloveCIENCIA format carried out by Purificación Tortuero, Mayor of Alovera, with the presence of Mercedes García, Director of the Alovera Library, councilors María Jesús Cabas (Culture) and María Antonia García (Culture), and Pedro López, Communication Manager of the City Council. Purificación introduced us to José Luis F. Cuñado and Pablo Molina, founders of plusultraorionis, active PhD scientists at Madrid Institute of Advanced Studies IMDEA nanociencia and the Autonomous University of Madrid.

The opening ceremony was followed by the talk "Become a spectroscopist", the first of the series of talks that will take place regularly every last Thursday of each month during the school term. The talk on spectroscopy was led by Pablo, while the question and hands-on session were led by José Luis.
A total of 50 people of all ages attended the event, and the great interest shown by young people was notable, some of whom shared the stage with us.
